Support Siwei’s Boston Marathon journey with SACH!

The South Asian Circle of Hopkinton (SACH) is thrilled to have Siwei Luo, running the 130th Boston Marathon on Monday April 20, 2026, and raising funds for SACH!

Siwei’s journey as a Marathoner

Siwei is an IT specialist serving in the Federal Government in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Her running journey began unexpectedly when she discovered that one of the patient-tracking systems she supported was used during the Army Ten-Miler. Curious about the sport, she registered for the race—and successfully completed it. That experience sparked a passion that led her to tackle the Navy–Air Force Half Marathon, and not long after, she found herself at the starting line of the 2017 Marine Corps Marathon. Since then, Siwei has completed 14 marathons, two 50Ks, countless half marathons and 10-milers, and several Ragnar Trail Relay races.

Siwei’s accomplishments within her community

For many years, Siwei has served as a pace group coach in a local road runners club’s marathon training program. She has built a strong “running family” within her pace group, ensuring her runners feel supported during every training run and every race. Beyond coaching, she has also organized multiple fun-run events for a local elementary school, helping raise tens of thousands of dollars for the school community.

Siwei’s dreams about completing the Abbott World Marathon Majors

Siwei began her Abbott World Marathon Majors six-star journey in 2019 after being selected through the Chicago Marathon lottery. The pandemic briefly paused her in-person races, but she returned to complete the Berlin, London, New York City, and Tokyo Marathons in the years that followed. Siwei proudly identifies as a back-of-the-pack runner—someone who runs for joy, community, and perseverance. Knowing she would never time-qualify for Boston, she continued entering the Abbott race draws and submitting charity applications, believing that persistence and training would eventually open the door. That belief became reality when SACH contacted her with the news she had been selected as their charity runner for the 2026 Boston Marathon—a dream come true and the final star of her remarkable journey.

About Tracey

Tracey is the Director of Retail for a nationally recognized retail operation at Congressional Country Club, a private golf & country club in Bethesda Md. She is very involved in the Association of Golf Merchandisers, often being asked to speak on panels pertaining to golf retail and has lead the Congressional Golf Shop to be named AGM’s Platinum Award and Best of the Best consecutively in her last year 8 years there, featuring globally recognized retail operations.

When not at work, Tracey spends her time with her husband Dustin, a golf professional, and their two four-legged children, Birdie and Stearnsy, who run the house with a firm paw. They love traveling and playing golf together all over the country.

Tracey’s relationship with running was, for most of her life, strictly casual. She dabbled in “fun runs” like 5Ks with friends, the yearly Turkey Trot to justify an extra slice of pumpkin pie, or the occasional treadmill session during Orange Theory workouts. But in 2020, things changed. Working from home for a short period of time and with gyms closed and stress levels high, Tracey turned to running as a way to cope with the chaos of the pandemic. What started as a means of therapy quickly morphed into a surprising love—and a personal challenge.

Approaching her 40th birthday, Tracey decided to train for her first marathon. She joined a local running group, laced up her sneakers, and crossed the finish line of the Philadelphia Marathon in November 2021. And just like that, she was hooked. She soon learned about the World Marathon Majors—Berlin, Tokyo, London, NYC, Chicago, and Boston—and set a bold goal: to conquer all six before turning 50.

Since then, Tracey has knocked out Berlin, Chicago, and NYC, making her a bona fide marathon maniac. Now, she’s gearing up for the 2025 Boston Marathon. But this time, it’s about more than just the miles—Tracey is running to raise funds for the South Asian Circle of Hopkinton (SACH), combining her passion for running with her commitment to making a difference—one step, one race, and one goal at a time.

By opening this door into the Boston Marathon for me, SACH proves once again that their mission to bridge communities, celebrate diversity and advocate civic engagement is not just a hope—but a daily reality. Support Jeffrey and SACH!

The South Asian Circle of Hopkinton (SACH) is thrilled and honored to have Jeffrey Kreafle, an international runner and leader, running the 128th Boston Marathon on Monday April 15, 2024, and raising funds for SACH!

In the past couple of years, Jeffrey has run several marathons, including two world majors (Berlin and Chicago) as well as several ultra-marathons, most recently the JFK 50-miler, the oldest ultra-marathon in the USA.

About Jeffrey

Jeffrey is the chief executive of one of the top country clubs in the world, Congressional Country Club. Located just outside of Washington, DC, his club supports many communities and has one of the most diverse memberships and staff of any club in the country. He is highly regarded in his profession and has been invited to Asia several times to speak about leadership and the field of golf management.

In addition to family and work, his passions include a revived focus on fitness. Like many of us, over the years, his commitments to family and work easily took away his focus on fitness. As he approached his 50th birthday, he knew that needed to change. Through a systematic approach to sleep, diet, and exercise, he has been able to radically transform his personal fitness and translate that back into additional success at home and work (and running).

The South Asian Circle of Hopkinton (SACH) is excited and honored to have Junaid, a journalist and international runner, with a tremendous record of achievements all around, running for the 127th Boston Marathon on Monday April 17, 2023, and raising funds for SACH!

In the last couple of years, Junaid has run over 50 half marathons in different countries and 3 full marathons including the Istanbul Marathon in 2021.

"Through my passion for running, I aspire to run more marathons to raise funds for charities that benefit communities, healthcare, the environment, public development and in doing my little part to create a better world.

I AM RUNNING THE BOSTON MARATHON IN APRIL 2023! I hope you'll support me in this endeavor and in raising funds for SACH, whose mission is to bridge communities, celebrate diversity and advocate civic engagement by organizing events & educational programs for all age groups."

About Junaid

Junaid is a news anchor and reporter, originally from Lahore, Pakistan, having his ancestral roots in India & Bangladesh, and is currently based in Karachi, where he's lived for more than a decade now. In his journalistic career, he led many special news coverages in Pakistan, India, UK, & USA. He is passionate about advocating for Women's rights, democracy and education. In the past 15 years, he has worked on several platforms including Radio, Newspapers and Television and has worked with UNESCO.

His passion includes sports like soccer and cricket in addition to running. Throughout his career, he has worked with South Asian communities in the United States and the United Kingdom, especially during the news coverage of the US Presidential Elections of 2016 for Geo News. Junaid trains and runs with Seaview Runners Club in Karachi.
