Hi! My name is Alison Pike. I am a rising fourth-year student at the University of Virginia, and I have the honor and privilege to be training for this year’s 2025 Allianz Richmond Marathon, taking place on Saturday, November 15, 2025. This marathon holds a special place in my heart because, in 2023, I ran my first marathon ever on this very same course.

But, more importantly, that run, training block, and everything I endured that year changed my life and inspired me to set a goal for myself each time I ran a race. Recently, that goal has been to run for a designated charity.

SARA, the Sexual Assault Resource Agency, is an amazing non-profit organization located in Charlottesville, VA. I have worked with SARA for the past two years, and they have created a significant impact on my life. This upcoming marathon training block and race are dedicated to SARA.

I would greatly appreciate any donations to this organization. Thankfully, through this GoFundMe link, all donations go directly to the organization. I’m also excited to be running alongside other friends within the UVA community and look forward to rerunning this course in the beautiful city of Richmond, hopefully setting a PR!!

Hi! My name is Alison Pike. In 2023, I ran a half-marathon and a full-marathon and this Fall of 2024, I have decided that I am running two half-marathons. The Charlottesville Fall Classic Half Marathon on October 20th (which I am doing with my sorority little, Mia!) and the CarMax Richmond Half Marathon on November 19th (which I am doing with my childhood best friend, Ethan!)

Running has made a huge impact in my life, improving my mental and physical health. It has been an outlet for me to destress and just be in the present with myself. I have decided that I went to raise awareness and funding for both of these races, to a local organization in Charlottesville, where I go to school, SARA, Sexual Assault Resource Agency.

I have worked with SARA a couple of times and they are great organization, providing people of all ages with the help that they need to overcome trauma, seek aid, and eliminate sexual violence through the impacts of education.
