Help Riverhead HS Cross Country Team Travel to Compete!
Hello Friends, Family, and Supporters,
We are the Riverhead High School Cross Country Team, and are excited to announce that we have the opportunity to participate in the prestigious Ocean State XC Invitational at Goddard State Park in Warwick, RI, this upcoming season! This meet is a fantastic opportunity for our athletes to compete against top talent, experience a new course, and grow both individually and as a team.
Why We Need Your Help:
Traveling to this meet requires funding beyond what our school's budget can cover. We need to cover expenses such as:
Travel and Transportation: Ensuring safe and reliable transportation for our team.
Accommodation: Providing a comfortable and secure place for our athletes to stay.
Meals: Keeping our team well-fed and energized.
Registration Fees: Covering the cost of entering the competition.
Equipment and Supplies: Ensuring all athletes have the necessary gear and supplies.
Our Goal:
Our fundraising goal is $5,000 to cover these expenses. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to achieving our goal and providing our athletes with this invaluable experience.
About Our Team:
We are proud of our teams achievements and are excited to build on our successes from last season. Last year, our athletes broke three different school records in Cross Country. Attending the Ocean State XC Invitational would give our top athletes the opportunity to break previous records set at Goddard State Park.

Three All-League Selections
One All-County Athlete
RHS boys team participated in the State Qualifier meet as a team for the second consecutive year. RHS girls team competed in the Division Championship meet and will be striving to qualify for the State Qualifier meet this season.
With such a strong and dedicated group, we are looking forward to an exciting season and the opportunity to compete at the Ocean State XC Invitational.
