Hi! We’re The Lede Company — a strategy, communications, and social impact consulting firm working across the corporate, entertainment, brand, and nonprofit sectors. This October 16th in New York City, we’re excited to launch our first-ever annual 5K, and we’re doing it for a cause close to our hearts.

We’re proud to be raising funds for Pencils 4 Kids, an incredible organization dedicated to supporting students in Jamaica by providing them with essential school supplies, learning materials, and mentorship to help them succeed. They have had huge success in helping kids through school in Jamaica and even in college in NYC. Access to education is a basic human right, yet too many children face obstacles that prevent them from reaching their full potential. With your help, we can change that.

Pencils 4 Kids has captured the hearts of many willing to support and connect with our charity and the children of Quickstep in Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica. With abundant care and commitment, Pencils 4 Kids and the local community have worked together to improve the children’s livelihood and education. Your contributions have provided for a new school building and library, refinished soccer field, the installment of safety fences and bus transportation.     

This December 1-4, 2022 will be our 7th year returning to Jamaica and we are excited to put your dollars to work. In preparation for our annual trip we want to offer our supporters new ways to get involved, to hear from the students themselves, and to see the immense progress of the program.
