This January I will be running 5k everyday to raise funds for breast cancer research Ireland. The reason I chose this charity is because it’s close to my heart as it affected my own mother two years ago. Luckily she caught the cancer early all thanks to breast cancer Ireland having the right equipment and treatments available. All donations will proceed to Breast Cancer Ireland to help them with their future research.

This year we are dedicating our annual Xmas swim(12pm) to the memory of Ann Costello who sadly passed away on the 27th of December last year. Ann was a big lover of Christmas. Family and community meant everything to her so its very fitting to dedicate our annual Xmas swim to her and celebrate that sense of community she loved so much. We are raising money for breast cancer research,as Ann herself battled and beat breast cancer back in 2015. Thank you in advance for any donation you can give. Hi, my name is nathan, I’m a 27 year old Irish backpacker living in Australia. My goal is to run a half marathon in 8 different country’s across 3 continents before Christmas to not only raise money but spread awareness for Breast cancer Ireland.

i myself have had loved ones and friends affected by breast cancer and I believe we can do more to promote the cause and help raise much needed funds.

over 3,700 women in Ireland are diagnosed each year. 1 in 7 women will be diagnosed in there lifetime.

I will be traveling to Vietnam, Indonesia, Japan, New Zealand,Thailand, Philippines, Australia and finally finishing off in Ireland. Where I will run 21kms in each country. Sharing my story, Spreading awareness and educating people on the importance of getting checked themselves and asking the women in their lives to look for early signs of breast cancer.

My name is Trish, and I’m the owner of Vision Fitness, a women’s fitness community based in Blarney.

This October, for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’re coming together to do something truly special — a charity walk through the stunning Blarney Castle grounds, in support of Breast Cancer Ireland.

This event means a lot to us. It will be led by some of our amazing Vision Fitness members who have personally gone through breast cancer — women who continue to inspire us with their strength, positivity, and resilience.

We want to walk not only to raise funds but also to honour those who have fought, those who are fighting, and those we’ve lost.

All donations made here will go directly to Breast Cancer Ireland, helping to fund life-saving research and awareness initiatives.

Hi, my name is Áine Williamson, and my sister Seána and I are running the Breast Cancer Ireland Very Pink Run this September.

Breast cancer touches so many lives here in Ireland. Over 3,500 women are diagnosed each year, which is about 1 in every 9 women during their lifetime. Sadly, breast cancer has affected our own family, and I know many friends and loved ones whose families have also been impacted.

This will be my first time taking on something like this, but I wanted to challenge myself and give back in a meaningful way. Every euro raised will be donated directly to Breast Cancer Ireland, helping to fund research, awareness campaigns, and education that can help save lives.

If you can donate, no matter how small the amount, it would mean the world to me and countless families across Ireland who are fighting this horrible disease.

Hi my name is Alex and last year my family got some news that my aunt had been diagnosed with breast cancer. We were all devastated and looking at the battle she has gone through and still is going through I figured that we know only a little bit about breast cancer but no where near enough as we should, which is why I have decided to run the Athy half marathon as a way to put myself through a physical and mental challenge somewhat similar to what she went through every day while recovering and going through treatment. It would mean a great deal if you guys could help and support me support my aunt and many many other women who go through what she went through.

Hi my name is Evan Wilson, I’m nineteen years old. I have often felt that cancer research, specifically breast cancer research is not funded enough. I think it is time that this changes and we as human beings do our part.

One in nine women in Ireland will develop breast cancer in their lifetime, and it is the most common cancer among women in Ireland. The Irish Government actively funds breast cancer research, but it’s not enough - lives are still being lost & progress is still too slow. That’s why we, as human beings, must step up. Every euro raised helps fund live-saving research for our mothers, grandmothers , sisters, daughters, aunts, and cousins. This will bring us closer to a future where breast cancer is no longer a deadly diagnosis and instead a treatable disease.

So please give a donation and support the women of Ireland, every cent helps.
