It Takes Goals to Play
Everyone benefits by having more goals around for people to play soccer. You can’t play without goals! To spread the joy of soccer throughout the Napa Valley during this holiday season, please help us reach our goal of raising $25,000 to buy goals for the new year.
Going back to 2020, you may remember that every soccer goal was locked up during the pandemic. Some of these goals were vandalized. Nearly every net was cut open or ripped. Other goals just rusted away. Unknown to most is that our community fields lost quite a few goals during the pandemic. What goals we had left, our soccer operations team moved from venue to venue to serve the needs of our teams, yet we still didn't have enough to go around.
It's time we re-invested in our goals and nets and we need your help.
An 8' x 24' match goal used for 11v11 soccer ranges between $2,000 - $4,000. Full-size, lighter duty goals range $1,500-$2,000. Finally, the practice goals that we use around the valley for training average approximately $750 each.
As we raise money for goals, we plan to replace at least 3 match goals that were ruined during the pandemic. On top of that we will be purchasing more training goals and nets for places like Kennedy Park, Silverado Middle School, West Park, Pueblo Vista, the RLS at St. Helena, and other school grounds. Finally, if funds allow, we will purchase additional training goals such as pop-up goals and mini-target goals.
With your donation, we are re-investing in our community, not just for the kids but for anyone who enjoys playing soccer!
