Help Us Provide Warmth and Shelter for Hurricane Helene Survivors in Old Fort, NC
Hurricane Helene has left a devastating impact on our community in Old Fort, NC. Homes have been destroyed or severely damaged, leaving many families without a safe place to stay as the cold weather sets in. As the winter months approach, these families need immediate help to stay warm and safe while they work toward rebuilding their lives.
At MoneyWise Tax Academy, we are committed to providing essential support during this time of crisis. With your help, we aim to raise $15,000 to purchase critical supplies, including:
Cold-weather tents and thermal sleeping bags for families without shelter.
Portable generators to provide heat and light.
Portable toilets and shower combos for basic hygiene and sanitation.
Warm clothing such as coats, hats, gloves, and emergency blankets.

In addition to these efforts, I have been working tirelessly to collect and deliver supplies to those most in need, especially those who cannot access help due to lack of transportation. Through this work, I’ve seen firsthand the devastation and urgent needs in our community.
While we have set up an account with FEMA, the response has been delayed due to the high volume of applications. That’s why we are turning to our community and beyond for immediate help.
