To alleviate the overpopulation and resulting euthanasia of unwanted dogs through public education, rescuing, providing medical care and spaying and neutering as many dogs as possible with the resources available, primarily within our target areas of California and Connecticut. We end the suffering of the dogs we care for by providing them food, shelter, veterinarian care, exercise, and love. The ultimate goal is sanctuary or adoption so more lives can be saved. The California sanctuary primarily focuses on senior and special needs dogs having nowhere to go and facing imminent death. On the east coast, the focus is on younger healthier dogs that also have few options but are stronger adoption candidates.
