When I was 10 years old I was unfortunate to have developed a brain tumour and post-surgery I was very sick for 6 months. Being in and out of the hospital and having gone through a very tough time for me and my family, Southampton Hospital put me forward to Make-A-Wish, which was accepted.

Me and my family were very lucky and my wish was granted to go to Lapland to visit and spend much-needed family time. 20 years later I have been very lucky to have recovered and restored to full health and because of this, I want to fulfil my duties and "pay" back Make-A-Wish to help give another child an unforgettable experience to spend time with their family.

Your support has the power to make a wish come true for a critically ill child, allowing families to create lasting memories that they will treasure forever no matter what the future holds.

TORQWALES are back for their latest cars & coffee event at Llandow Race Circuit.

This time though, we’re doing it for charity!

Our chosen charity this year is Make A Wish.

This charity enables young people up to the age of 17, to do something of their choice due to their illness. And what better way than to raise money and get the car scene together!

All proceeds from the ticket sales minus fees will be donated to the charity.

We will have 3 charity events this year to raise money and awareness to this wonderful charity, that is close to our hearts.

Hi, I’m Ellie and with my friend Tru, we plan on walking the Hadrian’s Wall this summer. We need your help to grant wishes for seriously ill children. We’re both 17 and from Cambridgeshire, and helping other children has always been a dream of ours.

Seeing what the Make A Wish Foundation do, has motivated us to get involved and walk for wishes.

Hi my names Brandon and I have decided to take on a marathon and use the challenge to raise money for an incredible charity — Make-A-Wish UK.

This will be a trail marathon, which means long distances, hills, mud, and a serious test both physically and mentally. It’s going to be tough, but knowing it’s for such an important cause will keep me going when the legs start to complain.

I chose Make-A-Wish because they do something truly special: they help grant life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses. These wishes give children and their families moments of joy, strength, and hope during unimaginably difficult times — and that’s something worth pushing myself for.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps Make-A-Wish continue the amazing work they do and gives children something wonderful to look forward to.

Hello! My name is Charlie, other people know me as Slimythread. i have created a fundraiser for "make a wish" , if you don't know what "make a wish" is, Make-A-Wish is a global children's charity that grants life-changing wishes for children and young people (typically aged 3-17) battling critical or life-threatening illnesses, providing hope, joy, and magical experiences like meeting heroes, family holidays, or special adventures, which create lasting memories and offer a vital break from treatments and hospital life.

although for me to make this fundraiser possible, i need your help. you see i'm a small Youtube content creator with 2,600+ subscribers, realistically that's not a lot, that's less than 0.0001% of people on earth. so how can i raise £3,000 for this fundraiser?

In March, i will be uploading 31 Videos in 31 days, these videos will hopefully include some of the biggest VR content creators (Coffeeperson, Rasberryvr, Pepsi Dee, JB630 and more!) By doing this, audiences from other channels can help contribute to this fundraiser and get to enjoy watching their favourite content creators on Youtube!

Once we hit 5k ill do a sky dive, and believe me when I say this, I hate heights and the actually thought of doing this is turning my stomach.

I’m taking on a huge year-long challenge to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation: completing 100 different sports and activities in 12 months (hopefully even sooner!). I’ll be posting updates on every sport I take on, and to push myself even further, I’m aiming to win at least 50% of the challenges. If I don’t hit that 50% success rate, I’ll donate £1,000 to the charity myself. So if you want to be part of this journey, challenge me to a sport or activity of your choice and see if you can beat me—let’s make some wishes come true together!

I unfortunately lost my grandad to cancer at the end of April whilst being at the other side of the world. This was super sudden and in all honesty, really did break me.

Losing someone so very special to me whilst having no family members to grieve with had a huge impact on my mental health.

After not being able to attend the funeral, I’ve always felt like I’ve never had full closure, therefore I wanted to do something special to hopefully help with that.

My grandad had 9 amazing grandkids and 1 extra amazing one (me hehe) therefore I want to celebrate his life by raising money for kids to do something special before they unfortunately lose theirs over Christmas.

To mark the start of the Christmas Celebrations I will run 7 half marathons in 7 days, alongside my full time teaching job.

I will run these on 1st Dec- 7th Dec raising money for make a wish, a charity which supports kids with life threatening illness’ to do something special.

My grandad was the very best and did so much for all his Kids & Grandkids - I feel he would love knowing I was doing something special for other young people.

Running 7 half marathons in 7 days is very scary to me, but it’s nothing that young people with cancer face on the daily.
