In March, I’ll be running the Finsbury Half Marathon to raise money for Leukaemia Care, a charity that is very close to my heart. My dad was diagnosed with leukaemia in 2017, and with the support and care he received, he has been able to continue living a fit and healthy life. Leukaemia Care provides vital information, guidance and support to people affected by blood cancer and their families. I’m proud to be running in support of such an important charity, and any donations would be hugely appreciated.

My story

Back in 2019 I was diagnosed with essential thrombocythemia blood cancer (known as an mpn) well in 2025 I was told that it had progressed to Myelofibrosis which is a rare bone marrow cancer (also comes under mpn) ,well these MPNS are currently not curable only controllable with meds to reduce progression.

So ive decided to challenge myself by doing the end to end walking challenge 874 miles in total .

This challenge isn't going to be easy but as we head into 2026 I'm doing it ..so please put your hands in your bags purses and pockets for that loose change any amount raised will make s huge Difference xx

In December, my incredible mum should have celebrated a huge milestone- her 60th birthday! A milestone she deeply deserved to celebrate, surrounded by family and friends. Sadly, leukaemia took her from us far too soon. Though she's no longer here, her spirit, warmth and courage continue to guide me every day.

To honour what would have been her 60th birthday, I will be doing a charity sky dive and raising funds for leukaemia care. Every donation, no matter the size, will go towards supporting individuals and families currently facing the same battle my mum so bravely fought.

I am aiming to do the sky dive in August.

This is more then just a fundraiser, it's a tribute to my mums legacy, and a way to bring light to others that are suffering this horrible illness.

Hi my name is Brian Bennett and I was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia in October 2021. As you can imagine the news was devastating and changed my life forever. I had a difficult response to treatment I am on monitoring for a Stem Cell transplant. Two years later still fighting and still carrying on as normal as can be. I and thousands of others would not have manged the fight without the emotional support from Leukaemia Care. Do you want to join me in making a difference? Why 6 Hours?

Many have a special number, the one they rely on, the number that means luck, a number of positivity and opportunity. But the number 6 means something very different to a friend of mine.

On my friends daughter’s 6th birthday, their world was turned upside down. A father, a husband, a friend, was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer known as Acute Myeloid Leukaemia and the following months would be unimaginable. A man of strength, both physically and mentally would take on a fight even he couldn’t prepare for. Whilst showing signs of exceptional recovery, the battle will be fought for many years to come. Not just for our friend, but for others who battle this illness.

Until we find the cure that offers certainty, the fight is worth fighting for. So, to do my little bit, I will be riding on a static exercise bike for 6 hours to raise money for a future of certainty.

We are completing the 3 peaks in 24 hours challenge to raise money in aid of Leukaemia Care and every donation will help. We will be aiming to climb the highest peak in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafel Pike) and Wales (Snowdon) (including the travel between them) within 24 hours.

My mum was diagnosed with Leukaemia when she was 31 and passed away a couple a weeks before her 40th birthday, leaving behind her husband and two kids - my brother aged 10 and me aged 9. I am taking on this challenge to raise funds for Leukaemia Care to support other patients and families affected by this disease. Thank you in advance for your support - it will help us push on when we're questioning why we signed up to do this!

We’re incredibly proud — and deeply honoured — to finally be hosting WTF! For Jeff.

Jeff wasn’t just a supporter of our work — he was a genuine fan, a motivator, and a constant voice of encouragement. To us, he was more than a friend; he was like family. A true gentle giant with a heart of gold.

Tragically, Jeff passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Christmas Day, shortly after arriving in Australia to marry his soulmate of over 10 years. His passing was a devastating shock to everyone who knew and loved him.

Jeff was a respected member of our community — kind, compassionate, and full of life. He always showed up for others and had completed a 10k swim to raise funds for cancer research only a month before his passing. He truly brought a spark of joy wherever he went and he deserves to be remembered in a way that reflects the light he brought into the world.

WTF! For Jeff is our way of doing just that.

As we open the doors to our brand-new WTF! HQ — a space built on creativity, connection, and bold energy — we’re hosting a launch event and fundraiser to honour Jeff’s legacy. This celebration is more than just a party; it’s a chance to do something meaningful, and to raise vital funds for two causes close to Jeff’s heart and ours:

RNLI Blackpool — A charity close to Jeff’s heart. We’re incredibly grateful to them for giving him the beautiful and dignified send-off he truly deserved. Donations to support the RNLI will be collected on the day of the event and throughout the week at our new premises, as we celebrate our opening and raise funds for our local community.

Leukaemia Care UK — While Jeff received outstanding care in Australia, we want to honour his legacy by supporting future patients here in the UK. Funds for this vital charity will be raised online through ticket sales and direct donations.

This has been a long time coming, and it feels like the perfect moment to honour a true legend. Whether you’re joining us in person or supporting from afar, every penny raised will help make a difference and ensure Jeff’s legacy lives on.

Let’s raise a glass, spread some WTF! magic, and create something beautiful — in his name.

2025 marks a significant year for Emma. She’s 35 years old. The same age her mother was when she passed back in 1998. We have decided, to mark the event, with a team walk over the Saddleworth 3 Peaks. Indians Head. Pots and Pans. Wharmton Hill.

The walk will be in support of Leukaemia Care. A charity which is close to Emma’s heart. We are looking to raise at least £500 for the charity . Please donate generously. Thank you!
