WARRIOR 62
On September 1st, 2023, Tim Gilbertson and Mark Seibold are participating in a 62 mile ruck, that we have managed and coordinated, from Madison, WI to Freeport, IL. The event is called "WARRIOR 62". We are working with a K-Cancer Baseball NFP that gives support to childhood cancer families in the surrounding Rockford, IL area. The Rockford IL area does not have the capability locally to provide specialty care for the cancer kids. The cancer families here in Rockford IL and the surrounding area must travel to American Family Children's Hospital in Madison WI or Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago IL for treatments, which is taxing and costly on cancer families. My goal is to raise funds to help support K Cancer NFP with needed resources to offset costs associated with hotels, gas, travel, food, preparing the homes for newly diagnosed kids to be suitable for them to come home, helping around the holidays with gifts for the teammates and siblings and so much more. More information about K Cancer Baseball NFP: Families who are battling Childhood Cancer in our local area have to travel outside of the community for treatment. This causing a host of problems layered on top of the monster of fighting cancer in your child. We provide support based on the need of the family, every family is different. One of the unique things about our organization is that it is "Youth Led". We train the athletes of K Cancer Baseball & Softball in business concepts and have them involved in running every area of the organization.

This group, K-Cancer baseball NFP is near and dear to my heart as they greatly supported my family and my son throughout his cancer journey. To this day, they keep him as a "teammate" and he is always invited to the events they hold for the kids. Eryn’s K-Cancer Hero Challenge Fundraiser
Hello! My name is Eryn, and I have been challenged to see who can raise the most $ for the local families battling childhood cancer that we support at K Cancer Softball. Please consider donating!!!

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month! Covid-19 hasn't stopped local kids from being diagnosed with Cancer. Our kids still have to travel outside of the Greater Rockford Area for treatment (Chicago & Madison). Their families are still faced with the challenges of travel costs, lodging, eating out, vehicle repairs, home maintenance, you name it, all on top of battling Childhood Cancer.

These families need Heroes! On Thursday, September 2nd, from 5:30-7:30pm, we will be competing in the Hero Challenge Fire Truck Pull to raise money for local families battling Childhood Cancer. To add a little competition to the event, the Rockford Police Department has challenged the Rockford Fire Department in the Fire Truck Pull!

This event kickstarts our biggest fundraising effort of the year. From the Fire Truck Pull on September 2nd, through our Blood Drive on September 18th, we will be raising money. All money we raise during this time will go directly to local families. Your donations mean someone can get to the hospital to see their child during treatment. Your donations mean families can buy groceries when they are home between treatment stays. Every dollar means something!
