Hi folks I'm running the Dublin Half Marathon on March the 30th for the Irish Kidney Foundation. It also by chance happens to be Mother's Day❤️, fate some might say.

My Mum before she passed was on dialysis and they do great work.

Also I'm not a long distance runner and have only ever ran more than 5km twice in my life. Both were 10Kms more than 15 years ago.

So though it's not the gruel of a full marathon, for me it will be tough and a good start to get me out of my comfort zone.

Abbeyshrule Christmas Lights Tractor Run is pleased to announce that the Longford Branch of the Irish Kidney Association will be our chosen charity this year. This is a fantastic cause that helps families all throughout Ireland.

Our run takes place on December 15th, departing Abbeyshrule Airfield @5pm (please note this is accessible to drivers only). Our run can be viewed in Abbeyshrule village and along the rest of the route which will be announced on our Instagram and Facebook page soon! See you all on the 15th of December!

Do you want to join me in making a difference? I’m running the Dublin City Marathon in memory of my Beautiful Daughter Lauren who donated her organs to save lives. As a proud Mother I am raising money in aid of Irish Kidney Association CLG and every donation will help. I would love to raise awareness and the importance of Organ Donation in Ireland. Having an organ donor card can save the lives of individuals waiting to receive transplants throughout Ireland.

Hi, my name is Carol Hegarty. I am inspired to raise some funds for the Irish Kidney Association by running the Dublin City Marathon on the 27th of October 2024 with my cousin Katherine Loftus and friend Lucia Byrne.

The Irish Kidney Association has a special place in the hearts of the Hegarty family as the hereditary condition, polycystic kidneys exists in our family. The association has helped family members gain access to vital treatment. Family members have had kidney transplants and extensive dialysis treatment. Unfortunately we lost our Uncle Ollie Hegarty to the disease in 2022 but the treatment he had helped him live a fulfilled life.

We would appreciate any donations you could offer no matter how big or small.

To all my many loyal customers over the years, as some of you may know, later this month I will be retiring from this fantistic company, Maxol Ireland. I will never forget your loyalty, and the wonderful friendships that were made throughout the world. You all have made the job so easy for both myself and staff with your custom. It was a pleasure to greet you every day and be of service. As my term comes to an end, you amazing customers have offered gifts and cards which I wholeheartedly appreciate. The number you see above is the amount of deaths related to kidney disease every year...

Why is this important? As a gym and community, we have the power to create change. Every week, our community lifts 1000's of kilos, burns thousands of calories and races the clock - it's what we do best!

On the 26th of August Dale Byrne, the cousin of PHP owner Dean, sadly passed away from Kidney related issues. While he struggled throughout his time here, we want to do our bit to help those who continue to struggle day in and day out.

So we have set ourselves a challenge. On the 24th of November at 12pm, we aim to accumulate 254,028 calories in aid of the Irish Kidney Association to support those who suffer from kidney disease. This is a 24 hour event in PHP Waterford. It's a serious challenge against the clock. Those who struggle cannot do it alone, and neither can we. This is our opportunity to show the power of community and what it is capable of!

16 Machines will run on the hour every hour for 24 hours. The classes for that day will be 60 mins of max calories, a real challenge for a great cause!

Please consider donating and share this to others! And if you have an hour to spare, make your way to PHP Waterford and join the community in the biggest challenge to date!

We at Dunlewey Celtic FC, are organising a football game in memory of our dear friend and team-mate, Micheal Roycee Roarty. All proceeds raised from this page will go towards the Donegal branch of the Irish Kidney Association, a charity which is close to the hearts of Mícheáls family.

The match will take place on Sunday the 31st July at 5pm at Glentornan Park, Dunlewey, Co. Donegal.
