Hutto Professional Firefighters Foundation

Ruben Telles has been a member of Hutto Fire Rescue and Hutto Professional Firefighters Association Local 4707 for three years. On the night of August 09, 2023, Ruben and his girlfriend's apartment was destroyed as a wildfire in Cedar Park Texas broke out. Ruben's experience as a firefighter gave him a unique perspective on the devastation caused by wildfires, but he never imagined that he would become a victim himself. The loss of their home and belongings was a heartbreaking experience.

The Hutto Professional Firefighters Foundation is currently engaged in a fundraising campaign to support one of our members who has unfortunately been directly affected by the devastating wildfires. This initiative is aimed at providing much-needed assistance and relief to our colleague during this challenging time. By contributing to this cause, you will be making a meaningful impact and lending a helping hand to someone within the firefighter community who has faced significant losses. We received news that Lieutenant Whitmore lost the battle with stage 4 terminal cancer.

Hutto Professional Firefighter's Association and Taylor Professional Firefighter's Association are soliciting funds to help with the funeral costs for our brother Robert Whitmore. Robert was a 2015 retiree from the City of Taylor Fire Department after serving 23 years as a fireman. He also served part-time at Hutto Fire Rescue for 14 years.

Robert Whitmore devoted his life to the service of others. We are heartbroken by the news of his passing and want to continue to help his family in this time of need. Please keep the Whitmore Family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
