It is no exaggeration to say that Horizons has changed thousands of lives in its 40+ years of existence. For the first time in its history, at the place that so many people lovingly refer to as “camp,” there will be no camp...  there will be no cheering or Boom Chicka Booming on intake day, no days at the pool, no boating, no horses, no hand washing song outside the Commons.   It is heartbreaking.  To all of us who have been forever changed by our experiences at Horizons; To everyone who knows someone whose life has been made more full by working or living a summer at Camp; and to those who understand the importance of amazing programs like Horizons:  Please Donate!!  Donate what you can so that we can make sure that Horizons can bethere for us all next summer and all the summers after next!  Horizons has shown us so much love through the years, let’s show it some serious love in return!!

 Horizons is launching a drive to fund personalized voices for two young people who have worked with us for several years.

 Both Emily and Shawn are eager to be able to speak with their own voices. Currently, they use text-to-voice machines with an extremely limited range of pre-made voices to choose from. New technology now available promises to change that.

 Please join us in supporting Emily and Shawn. Help us fulfill their dream, a dream most of us take for granted - using one's own voice to speak.

 Your donation will pre-buy each of them a personalized, custom-made voice to be created together with VocalID in 2016.
