I’m doing a month sober from the 1st of feb and I’m raising money to benefit GIVIT LISTED LTD, any donation will help make an impact.

Hundreds of homes have been destroyed or damaged across Victoria by devastating bushfires in January 2026.

GIVIT is the official Emergency Recovery Victoria partner for donations of essential goods and services for people impacted by disasters and emergency events in Victoria, and they work with the government, local councils and recovery organisations to get people the help they need to recover.

2. Where are you from- Im from Melbourne and have previously very close to being affected by the Black Saturday bushfires.

3. Your relationship to the parties you're raising funds for- I have no relationship to the above party, i just want to help those in need.

4. How the funds will be spent - The funds will be spent by giving the people effected by the fires the items that they are needing.

Just a couple of weeks before Christmas, Tropical Cyclone Jasper decimated the Far north coast of Queensland and the aftermath brought extensive rain and flooding to the region.

Triple M's Rush Hour with AB & Elliott want to help the FNQ community and are raising money for GIVIT. AB and Elliott will be walking 42kms from Gordonvale, through the heart of Cairns to Yorkeys Knob, a challenge which will no doubt test them physically but mentally as well. The entire community is also welcome to meet the team at the Yorkeys Knob Boating Club for a beverage from 4pm as we broadcast live.

Funds raised will be used by GIVIT for goods and services that have been specifically requested by the FNQ community impacted by the floods.

100% of publicly donated funds received by GIVIT will be used to purchase essential items and services to help people affected.

In October 2022, thousands of homes were inundated or isolated by floodwaters leading to declarations of a state of disaster in Victoria. These areas are Regional Victoria and inner Melbourne. On Friday, the State Emergency Service (SES) conducted more than 200 flood rescues 146 flood rescues were made the following day. The flooding then continued up the eastern seaboard to NSW and QLD, which were both inundated with flooding. There currently remains a risk of flooding along the eastern seaboard down to Tasmania over the next two weeks.

Helloworld would like to raise money for those affected by the floods by donating any money you can to this cause. We are also hosting a "Great Helloworld Bake-off" (in each Australian) office for morning tea over several days in November and will require a gold coin donation to partake.

In February 2022, my home town of Lismore, NSW, was decimated by the worst flooding in recorded history. Areas in and around Lismore saw a year's worth of rainfall in three days. 22 people died, and many residents have lost everything. On Saturday, April 30, I will be running the Champaign 10k to raise funds for GIVIT's storms and flooding appeal, which directly benefits those affected by the recent floods. This will be the longest run of my life, but it's the least I can do to support my community. (For anyone not familiar with Champaign, IL, training has involved plenty of early morning runs in 0-degree C weather, often with a dose of snow). With your support, I hope to raise at least $1,000 to support recovery efforts and will match every dollar for the first $1,000 donated. It's often said, but every little bit helps.

The heartbreak isn't over, as floods still ravish thousands of homes and destroy peoples lives, the sad reality is that the pain is far from over.

Here at Red Dirt Diary we have been fortunate to travel the whole East Coast more times than we can count, we have seen it for all the beauty it is, we have met some hard working Aussies and to now drive through and see the devastating effects caused on these once strong and beautiful communities, which are now destroyed, breaks our hearts.

We want to try and support how ever we can! We are raising funds to donate to GIVIT which is a non-profit charity, 100% of the money received by GIVIT will be used to purchase essential items for people affected by floods in Queensland and New South Wales. GIVIT does not take administration fees from donations, so 100% of these funds will be given directly to those in need.

How can I join the in-person River Run charity event?

If you’re a South Australian resident, we hope you join us at River Run – an in-person charity run from Sportitude Running Hindmarsh in Adelaide. Run with us as we bring together our local community for a cause that’s close to the hearts of all Australians.

Everyone is welcome – River Run  is open to all abilities and paces, so we’d love to see you, your friends and family there.

If you’re unable to make it to Sportitude Running Hindmarsh to run with us in-person, don’t sweat it. Wherever you are in Australia or the world, you can join the Sportitude Running Strava Club to be a part of the River Run charity event.

Flood affected communities need our help! It is undeniable that the devastating floods hitting Australia have been exacerbated by the climate crisis. Not even Scotty from Marketing could spin this one. What is being denied to communities like Lismore is the proper financial assistance and support to recover from this crisis - and prepare for ones to come. Australia has no National Climate Adaptation Plan, and both the Federal and State governments have been shifting blame and responsibility for disasters like these, even on to the victims themselves. The floods have spared no one. But it is the poorest and most vulnerable, many with no insurance or place to go, that are bearing the brunt of this calamity.

Let's show them what solidarity means. Let's show them we care!

Hi I'm Lynda, Corporate Affairs Adviser at CS Energy.

I'm coordinating our employee fundraising effort for people affected by devasting floods in Queensland and New South Wales.

Through this Go Fund Me our employees from Brisbane, Callide Power Station and Kogan Creek Power Station will be able to make contributions directly to GIVIT, which has partnered with the Queensland Government to provide relief to flood victims.

CS Energy will be dollar matching employee contributions up to $5,000 and will make a corporate donation to both GIVIT and Drought Angels.
