Indus Hospital Flood Relief Campaign
In honor of our dad turning 80, alhamdulillah, and his commitment to healthcare and service, we are raising funds to support a local hospital in Pakistan that has been heavily involved in flood relief efforts. Its U.S. partner, Friends of Indus Hospital, is collecting donations for the below needs, including medical camps and mobile vans in the affected regions.

• Essential Medical Supplies
Here is an example of some of their work in Sindh:
So far, IHHN has set up 39 Medical Camps in Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, Sanghar, Larkana, and Matiari, to provide emergency relief to victims of the calamity.
A total of 10,920 people have been treated, of which 40% are children.
Along with essential medicines, labs and medical services, the camps provide continuous counseling to the displaced population who are suffering from a barrage of illnesses, including mental health issues, diarrhea, skin infections, urinary tract Infections, acute respiratory infections, and gastroenteritis.
318 Community Engagement Counseling sessions have also been conducted on the prevention of diseases and rational drug use.
Moving forward, IHHN plans on setting up additional disease-specific medical camps in flood-impacted areas of the province.
WHO collaborated with IHHN to open the first ever flood-relief medical camp and diagnostic laboratory in Thatta.
