Friends of Bolton Mansion

As some of you may know, earlier this year Bolton Mansion was broken into on several occasions by the same individual. Through the help of our wonderful community, we were able to determine her identity and begin the process of pressing charges.

Unfortunately, the wheels of justice move slowly and there is no certainty that we will ever receive financial restitution from the individual for the damages that she caused. While she thankfully did not cause any harm inside the mansion, our shutters were damaged to the tune of $1,515.00. It may not seem like much, but unplanned costs such as this set us back from our restoration goals, and eat into funds that need to be used for regular maintenance.

We are therefore asking our community once again for assistance. We have set up this go fund me to cover the cost of repairs while we wait for any financial compensation from the perpetrator. If we are able to recover the cost from her in the future, the funds will go towards other maintenance and repair projects that already on our “to-do” list. We appreciate anything that you can give, and look forward to reaching the goal!”

The Friends of Bolton Mansion are actively working to restore the historic buildings and grounds at 85 Holly Dr in Levittown PA. There is still much work to be done to complete this process this process, and any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

We are thrilled to share that the front step to the Veranda have recently been restored. They look beautiful !

Next we are adding railings to the stairs. The accompanying photo shows the front steps and railings in 1938. We would like to have similar railings added to the steps. Once the railings are installed, we will be able to remove the fencing offering fabulous photos options for events and be one step closer to restoring the Mansion to its original grandeur. Bolton Mansion is a cherished treasure of Bucks County, and we are dedicated to its restoration to ensure it stands proudly for generations to come.
