I’m running the Detroit Free Press International Half Marathon on October 16th. Why not the full marathon? Because the first person that ran a marathon died and I’m not trying to do the same.
I am not a distance runner. I do not enjoy doing cardio for long distances. I occasionally run 5Ks and I only do that to try and show off that I’m fast. This is the longest I will ever run and it will not be enjoyable. My training plan is not great. I have a wedding the Friday before and I will be getting trashed. I might even go out for a bit the night before the race. Healthy preparation is for cowards.
You don’t have to run at all, but you can give money to this charity, and I will lie to people and say you did it with me. If you donate enough, I’ll even say you did the whole marathon. I’ll make up a crazy story about you stopping at the last mile and carrying someone that broke their leg across the finish line. Your friends aren’t the FBI. They can’t prove you didn’t. If they even try, I will fight them*
*Fight Them option only comes with substantial donation.
I'm raising money to benefit Forgotten Harvest, and any donation will help make an impact.
