The Curry College Men's Rugby Club and Curry Cares present the 2022 Maffie Memorial 7s Tournament. This tournament is in honor of a former teammate, Anthony Maffie, who passed away in 2018 from a seizure. The goal of this tournament is to raise money for the Epilepsy Foundation. 100% of all funds raised go right to The Epilepsy Foundation; more information on them is below:

Hi everyone! My name is Nehashree Bheemu, and I’m raising money for a cause that means a lot to me. In the United States alone, approximately 3 million people are diagnosed with epilepsy. Among this, 456K to 470K are teenagers. So, let's walk together to make some impact in their lives!

Epilepsy Foundation New England is a 501 (c ) (3) non profit organization whose mission is to help people and families affected by epilepsy in New England. We are an independent affiliate of Epilepsy Foundation of America, whose mission is to lead the fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy and to accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures, and save lives. We serve the approximately 111,000 people in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Rhode Island affected by epilepsy and the people who love them.

My name is Brooke and I am raising money for the Epilepsy Foundation of New England. This organization has a very special place in my heart and has been life changing these past six years.

I’ve had epilepsy since I was a toddler, thinking for over 2 decades that there was nobody on this planet who understood myself or what I deal with on a daily basis, I was able to meet some of the most incredible humans facing the same thing.
