Help Refugee Youth: THRIVE
Who We Are
Compassion Immigration Services welcomes and serves refugees and immigrants in Delaware & SE Pennsylvania. Our mission is to help families build real stability - safety, wellness, language skills, legal status, and access the tools to become self-sufficient as quickly as possible.
Refugee Youth: THRIVE - our priority focus for 2026 - is a comprehensive initiative which aims to help immigrant and refugee youth overcome the barriers that prevent them from building secure, self-sufficient futures. Grounded in English language learning, cultural understanding and inclusion, and providing pathways toward personal and community engagement, the program equips youth 25 and under with the tools to flourish academically, socially, and emotionally while growing into confident, contributing members of their new communities.
In broader context, we will continue to provide affordable housing, English classes, cultural orientation, employment assistance, and essential resources to our families. Our team shows up with compassion, consistency, and a commitment to walk the full distance with every family we serve. We believe in creating a community where people care for one another. Every service we offer will help youth move toward long-term security, confidence, and belonging.
What is THRIVE?
THRIVE is a hands-on program built to help immigrant and refugee youth (ages birth–25) actually succeed here, not just survive here.
We focus on six core needs:
T — Training:
Bilingual tutoring, English classes, and job readiness training.
H — Health:
Trauma-informed counseling and wellness support.
R — Resilience:
Family support, case management, financial literacy.
I — Integration:
Sports, arts, after-school programs, community events.
V — Voice:
Leadership development, creative expression, civic engagement.
E — Education:
School partnerships, mentors, scholarships, academic navigation.
Why We Need Your Help
We built this program because there is no other program in our area that provides all of these services in one place. Without a unified program like this, refugee youth are forced to chase down scattered resources across different systems, something most adults struggle with. THRIVE removes that barrier by putting everything they need under one roof.
