I’ve seen how a single lesson can light up a child’s face and remind a family there is still hope and possibility.

CoachArt creates safe spaces where kids can learn, play, and grow with mentors who listen and encourage. Those experiences matter — they help children regain a sense of self, connect with others, and build memories that last long after a hospital stay.

I’ve had the honor of working at CoachArt for 15 years. Every day I am inspired by the kids and families in our program who move through huge challenges with humility, grace, and enormous strength. Their resilience has shaped who I am and why I keep showing up to champion CoachArt's mission.

I’m attempting a 50-mile run to celebrate CoachArt’s past and future: 25 miles for the first 25 years, and 25 for the next 25. Two years ago I pushed toward this same goal but had to stop my training at 35 miles due to an injury. I’m trying again, stronger and more determined, because these kids deserve every bit of support we can give them.

CoachArt brings joy and possibility to kids with serious illness through lessons in music, art, and recreation.
