Hi everyone, my name is Ben Clancy.
This December, I’m taking on a huge challenge:
running 300 kilometres in 24 days — 1km on the 1st, 2km on the 2nd, 3km on the 3rd, all the way up to 24km on the 24th (Christmas Eve).
I’m doing this to raise money for the Children’s Health Foundation, who support sick children and their families in CHI hospitals and urgent care centres across Ireland (Temple Street, Crumlin, Tallaght and Connolly).
Christmas is an amazing time for most families, but for some children it’s spent in a hospital bed. CHF helps fund vital equipment, research, family support, and the little things that make a huge difference for kids receiving care.
This challenge is important to me because I want to use something I love — running — to help children who are facing things far tougher than any long run. If my challenge can make even a small difference to a child’s Christmas, it’s worth every kilometre.
Any donation, big or small, truly means a lot.
Thank you for supporting me and supporting sick children this Christmas.
