Mission

Children’s Cancer Research Fund is a national nonprofit dedicated to ending childhood cancer. Our main focus is to support the research of bright scientists across the country whose ideas can make the greatest impact for children fighting cancer. We also fund resources and programs that help kids and families as they navigate the difficult experience of cancer treatment and survivorship. Since 1981, we’ve contributed over $235 million to research, support programs for children and families, and awareness and education outreach. In 2024, over 81 percent of funds raised went directly to these program services areas.
Fishing has always been my refuge. Out on the water I find peace, focus, and a sense of freedom that helps me face life’s challenges. I also care deeply about childhood cancer because nothing should cut childhood short or steal the simple joys kids deserve. Those two parts of me come together in this fundraiser: I’m channeling my love of fishing into helping kids fight for more tomorrows. The Children's Cancer Research Fund supports transformational research that brings better treatments and cures to children with cancer. Research means real hope: therapies that are kinder, more effective, and that protect a child’s chance to grow up. Supporting this work is a way to stand with families who need answers and to give children a better shot at healthy futures. Every donation, big or small, fuels brave scientists and clinicians working toward breakthroughs. I am donating my time, stories, and passion for fishing to raise awareness and support for these lifesaving efforts. Together we can turn personal love into lasting impact for kids who need it most. Please join me in supporting the Children's Cancer Research Fund. Your gift will help fund research that changes outcomes for children with cancer. Thank you for casting hope with me.
