To everyone who may not yet have heard the news, our dear Hanh Thai passed away Sunday morning. She was an amazing mother, wife, daughter, and sister. When you saw her eyes, you could see her heart. When she smiled, the whole room lit up. She was just as sweet as could be.
Her joy in life was taking care of her family -her hard-working husband, two amazing teenage sons, and the most adorable youngest daughter. Even during her battle with cancer, she always put her family’s needs before her own.
Every Saturday morning Hanh’s favorite weekend activity was catching up and grabbing an early morning coffee with mom and her sisters. Although she had a family of her own, she never ceased to encourage and be there for her mother and siblings. She often opened her home to host the entire family over for special occasions.
Our lasting memories of Hanh are simple: a hard-working, passionate figure of strength who never waned in her support or love of her family, and who soldiered on, even when times were tough.

Hanh had been fighting stage 4 cancer for almost 8 years. The type of cancer she was fighting was a neuroendocrine tumor. In celebration of her memory the family has requested a donation towards The Carcinoid Cancer Foundation instead of floral arrangements.
"The Carcinoid Cancer Foundation is the oldest nonprofit carcinoid/and related neuroendocrine tumor organization in the United States, founded in 1968. The mission of this foundation is to increase awareness and educate the general public and healthcare professionals regarding carcinoid and related neuroendocrine tumors (NETs), to support NET cancer patients and their families, and to serve as patient advocates."
If you would like to donate, just click on the donate button and donate whatever you can. If you are not able to donate don’t forget you can still leave messages and comments for Rick and the kids to read.
Also, make sure you follow this page so that you receive any updates regarding the funeral.
