Buffington Island Battlefield Preservation Foundation

We are raising money to ensure that we have materials to present at the Buffington Island Battlefield annual memorial service, as well as to support the ongoing efforts of the Buffington Island Battlefield Preservation Foundation.

We are in need of driving tour and general brochures, as well as business and membership cards. Also, we are creating display materials such as banners. Your donation helps our Foundation's mission of preserving, interpreting, and educating the public about Ohio's largest Civil War battle.

$250.00 would provide enough for the printed materials, while $500.00 would allow us to create professional displays.

This is our ongoing campaign to raise funds to support our mission of Preservation, Interpretation, and Education. Your support helps our Foundation in many ways - from adding more interpretive signs, printing driving tour brochures, saving the ground of Ohio's only significant Civil War battlefield, to paying for our website.

The Buffington Island Battlefield Preservation Foundation was formed to preserve, interpret, and increase public understanding and knowledge of the Battle of Buffington Island. Not only is this a significant site for John H. Morgan and his raiders, but two future United States presidents were in this battle: Rutherford B. Hayes and William McKinley.
