At 70 years old, Somkid has worked his entire life, labouring in logging and riding camps. In September 2024, his life took another tragic turn, and that's when we offered to take him into our care. Sadly, our offer was rejected, but we never gave up hope.

Two weeks ago, we finally received the long-awaited news that Somkid could join our family and spend the rest of his days in our care.

However, Somkid's permanent rescue is not yet secured, and we lack the funds to buy his freedom. His journey to our sanctuary and his recovery is just beginning. To ensure he receives the vital food and medical care he desperately needs, we urgently need your help.

Each day, Somkid requires a substantial amount of nutritious food to rebuild his strength. His medical needs are also significant as we work to heal the years of neglect. Your donation will directly contribute to Somkid's daily sustenance and medical treatment, allowing him to thrive in his new, safe environment.

Help rescue Ploy and Pwong (Double Rescue)

Urgent: Ploy, a 50-year-old elephant, is starving to death. Without medical intervention, we could lose her. She has been working in the tourist riding camps and as a roadside feeding elephant for too long. She is simply starving to death.

She has been chained up next to another elephant named Pwong(42 years old) for 20 years. So, we hate the idea of just rescuing Ploy without also rescuing her friend. Not only is Pwong deserving to have her chains broken, but we will feel separated from them both, which could put them both into a depression since they have spent most of their life chained next to each other.

The good news is we have an amazing place we can bring them both. At Boon Lott Elephant Sanctuary-Bless, they will enjoy roaming just over 500 acres. Not only will they be chain-free for the first time in their lives, but Ploy can also receive the much-needed medical care she needs. Without this medical intervention, we fear she will die. -

Please help me rescue Metta. As you can see in the picture, she's starving to death. Slowly wasting away, dying from starvation.

Not 10 minutes after meeting her to start working on securing her freedom, I learned that a bad place had put a down payment on her to buy her. We told her owner to give us 24 hours to raise the money to secure her freedom. That we would take her to Bles. A sanctuary where she can live out the rest of her days roaming 500 acres chain-free with other elephant friends.

Metta is a true emergency case. Without medical intervention, she will die from starvation. Let's change that. Let's get her to Bles.

Help rescue Patty,

This gorgeous girl has been in chains for 41 years. In the first part of her life, she was forced to give rides to tourists on her back. Now she has been sold into a logging camp where she is forced to pull heavy logs all day. To make things worse, she's blind in her right eye.

The good news is that we have a great place for Patty to live out the rest of her days at Following Giants. They're one of the best rescues in all of Asia. She will love it there. There, she will never have to pull another tree again. She gets to be a happy/free elephant.

Help me rescue Thong Kham from the chains. She has been working in the same tourist riding camp for 20 years, and before that, she worked in a logging camp. She has spent her whole 45 years on this earth enslaved. The good news is we have an amazing place for her. Boon Lott Elephant Sanctuary- Bles has over 500 acres where she can roam free with other rescued elephants. She will get to spend the rest of her life chain-free. This male elephant has been forced to log trees from sunrise to sunset for roughly 55 years. It's a sad existence, but with your help, Planting Peace can buy his freedom. All funds will go toward replacing Thong with a Tractor.

Please help me rescue baby Ming and her mother Mee from being separated.

Ming is just a baby. Her owner wants to sell her to a buyer in China. We are not sure why she would be trafficked to China, but we do know it won't be for a good reason. Most likely for a roadside zoo. The mother would be sold to a logging camp where she had recently worked.

Help me rescue Lychee from the chains! This sweet little elephant has been working the riding and logging camps for 40 years. Her whole life, she has only known living in a chain. Her so-called caretaker was carrying a bullhook the whole time that I spent with her. Even saw him hit her with it one time. There's just no need for her to go through this abuse.

The good news is we have an amazing place for her. Following Giants have over 50 acres for her to roam with other rescued elephants. She will get to spend the rest of her life free from abuse. She will finally get to be a free elephant! Please help support Lychee's freedom!

The zoo where she's at kicked me out, so I don't have any footage of her working. The good news is we have an amazing place for her. Boon Lott Elephant Sanctuary- Bles has over 500 acres where she can roam free with other rescues. Since she only has one tooth left, she needs her food softened. Only a rescue like Bles can pull that off, adding years to her life. So, we're excited to give her a new home. Please help me rescue Bamboo for Christmas! She is just a baby. Her owner wants to sell her to China. So, it's a race against the clock. My guess is that it is some roadside zoo type of thing. Whatever illegal Chinese trafficker buys her, I promise it won't be good. She is only 4 years old. She has her life in front of her. It's a life of hell in China, or she will get to spend the rest of her days chain-free, roaming 300 acres at MandaLao Elephant Conservation.
