Hello! We are Cameron, Kristen, Aislin, Gigi, Skylar, Makenna, Mackenzie and Jolee - The Mini Company members of DC Dance AZ.
We are fundraising and dancing for a beautiful and very important cause- The Autism Society of Greater Phoenix! We certainly could use your support to bring more awareness and assistance to this wonderful nonprofit organization. We maybe little, but we understand the importance of helping others even if we don’t know them. For us, knowing that in our own small way we are making a difference is big in our hearts!

On Sunday, March 4th we will be dancing in DC Dance AZ’s 4th annual Folktale Festival with this year theme being “African Folktales” at 5:00pm at the Chandler Center for the Arts.
This is a 100% fundraising event to benefit The Austism Society of Greater Phoenix (ASGP), a fully non-profit charity whose mission is to provide information and resources to improve the lives of individuals and families affected by Autism. With 1 in 47 children diagnosed nationally, there is a tremendous need for support and ASGP serving over 4000 families in Greater Phoenix and Flagstaff is a vital resource to these individuals and families.
Last year, this event raised almost $32,000 and we would love to do it again with your support! With this money, the ASGP was able to train all of Phoenix’s first responders on how to respond to a situation involving a child or adult of autism thru their Be Safe Program. They were also able to provide financial treatment grants and communicative tools to families unable to do so on their own.
This cause and your support is extra special to us, as our talented, amazing, devoted artistic director has an eleven year son who had autism on the severe side of the spectrum. Even with all that she deals with silently on a daily basis she comes to all the practices with 100% focus. More so, she is a huge source of strength, support and guidance to those going thru this same journey. She is inspiring and empowering to so many!
We keep in mind that we do this for her, her son and her family and all the countless other families that deal with issues with we simply would never give a thought to.
We keep in mind that while we struggle for a minute to learn a new dance combination, this boy and his family struggled for years to even have him learn to walk.
We keep in mind that while we are busy making sleepover plans and going out to eat with our family, this family stays home as it isn’t the easiest going out with a child who had frequent outbursts. You think you got stares when we had that rare public tantrum at age two or three....imagine us doing it on a daily basis at times.
We keep in mind that while our lives our hectic and always going to one thing or another....their lives are just as hectic spending most of the day trying to learn and master what we did in the first 30 minutes of our day.
We keep in mind that sometimes we should pause, reflect, and give gratitude to our blessings.
We graciously ask that you please donate any amount you can! Your donation is 100% tax deductible and you will receive a receipt.
If you are in the Phoenix area and would like to attend the benefit, tickets are $25 and can be purchased through the box office, at the dance studio or by contacting one of us. There will be a silent auction at this event as well.
