DC Dance Autism Fundraiser

Welcome to our DC Dance Apprentice Company Autism fundraising page! March 19th is DC Dance AZ's 3rd annual Folktales Festival "The American Folktale" - 5:30pm at the Greyhawk Golf Club. The fundraiser benefits the Autism Society of Greater Phoenix. After the show we will be holding a silent auction. All monetary donations go directly to the ASGP's local outreach programs, scholarships and grants. Our first year we raised $9600 and want to do it again this year.
The Autism Society of Greater Phoenix is an incredible organization that serves over 3,000 families of children on the spectrum in Phoenix and Flagstaff. Our donations last year allowed a board member to train approximately 14 police and fire stations on how to respond when a child on the spectrum is involved. It also allowed for grants to be given to families who cannot afford the treatment that can help their child or an iPad that can allow a child who cannot speak to communicate.
This cause is near and dear to our hearts, because our Artistic Director has a son who is on the more severe side of the autism spectrum. We know how hard it is for them to have a "normal life", to go out to eat, to make time for others; and yet our teacher loves us and works hard to help us grow in dance and character. WE DO THIS FOR HER AND ALL THE OTHER FAMILIES AFFECTED BY AUTISM."
