amputee blade runners

So, I'm doing something really crazy again. I’m going to attempt to run a marathon everyday for a 102 days, which will be a total of 2675 miles, starting January 17th and ending April 27, 2022.  The current record is 100 days.  

I'm hoping this will inspire others to get out of their comfort zones and try something new and truly see what you are capable of. You always got more to give. It doesn't have to be as crazy, it just needs to push you a little out of your comfort zone. Maybe run your first 5km, half/full marathon or even take on your first ultra. Let me know what you will be doing this year to push yourself a little further.

I've been an amputee runner for 5 years and I've been incredibly fortunate to be supported by some really wonderful brands that have helped me along the way, but not everyone is this fortunate. Running prosthetics are super expensive and not every amputee will have the opportunity to experience running as I have. It's not as simple as putting on a pair of running shoes and you are out the door. Running prosthetic cost anything between 10 - 20 thousand dollars and many insurance companies see running as a "luxury" for amputees so they don't always cover it.

I've decided to do this attempt to raise money for Amputee Blade Runners. They are a wonderful charity who provide running blades for amputees. I would love to give running opportunities to others amputees like me. Thank you for donating.

Amputee Blade Runners is an organization  with the goal of providing running prostheses to active amputees. These prostheses are provided at no cost to the recipient because most insurance providers do not consider running prostheses a medical necessity. As a result, access to these types of devices must be paid for out-of-pocket, and kids (and adults) who cannot afford these devices are forced to participate in athletic activities on inferior equipment, which poses the risk of injury. 
I am running the Zion National Park 100 kilometer trail race on April 10, 2021. By running this race, my goal is to raise $10,000 to donate to Amputee Blade Runners.
