Every week, I volunteer with an incredible organization that delivers food and groceries to over 140 Jewish families in our community. These families rely on us to celebrate Shabbat with warmth, nourishment, and dignity.

But for many of them, food is just the beginning.

Too many families are struggling silently — behind closed doors — trying to survive the month.

• Rent is overdue.

• Eviction notices arrive.

• Children sleep in fear.

• Parents are drowning in debt and stress.

They’re doing their best. But it’s not enough.

That’s where you come in.

This fundraiser is not a one-time fix. It’s a lifeline.

We are building a fund to help one family each month pay their rent, escape the debt spiral, and finally breathe.

We’ll give them a moment of stability — so they can focus on living, not just surviving.

Food insecurity is something that I have been aware of since I was young. I remember the first time my parents packaged up our left over thanksgiving dinner in small containers and drove us to downtown Las Vegas. We got out of the car and walked around passing out the meals to hungry people on the streets. They were so appreciative of the meal and I realized that those people sleeping on the corners around the city were once living in homes just like me. I'm Mason Howard and for my mitzvah project I’m going to focus on raising money to benefit Aishel Avraham of Las Vegas. This is a kosher food bank that prepares and delivers food to people in need. Any donation will help make an impact. My goal of $2,000.00 is enough to help feed a Jewish family for a whole year.
