Now, imagine children growing up without these experiences—without a place to run, climb, and dream.
For many children in rural Nigeria, play is a luxury they cannot afford. But together, we can change that.
Our Mission
Through A Boy and His Dream, we have successfully installed six playgrounds in different communities over the past few years, giving thousands of children a space to play, learn, and thrive.
These playgrounds have done more than just provide fun, they have increased school enrollment by 20% in the past six years. When children have a safe place to play, they develop social skills, creativity, and confidence, and they are more likely to stay in school.
Now, we need your help to build two more playgrounds in:
✅ Ekpon Community, Edo State, Nigeria
✅ Irua Community, Esan West Local Government Area
Why This Matters
Play is an essential part of childhood. It fosters positive emotions, enhances learning, and builds resilience. In communities where resources are limited, these playgrounds become a symbol of hope, a reason for children to come to school, and a space where they can simply be kids.

Sunny Akhigbe, the founder of A Boy and His Dream, knows firsthand what it means to overcome hardship. Growing up in Nigeria, he faced immense challenges, but he never lost sight of his dreams.
Through perseverance and the support of those who believed in him, he turned his struggles into a mission to give back and inspire others.
Today, he is using his story to create opportunities for children who, like him, deserve a chance to dream and succeed.
