Challenge Jakki

2 years ago in January we got the devastating news that our beautiful girl Karina had lung cancer. Just a few far too short weeks later, this awful disease overcame her, and she lost her very brave fight to survive. Nothing could prepare us for this outcome, we were not ready to say goodbye. There isn't a day that goes by that K isn't in our thoughts and words. And while we are all trying to come to terms with the sadness, there are 2 very special girls who are dealing with the loss of their mum in the most awe-inspiring way imaginable. Mersadease and Calista are simply a credit to their mum, they take whatever has been thrown at them and just get on with it. It's not been easy, understandably, but their determination to stick together and rebuild their lives is nothing short of amazing.
And while Macmillan Cancer Support will always be a charity we as a family support, we wanted to do something to directly benefit the girls. So I am carrying out a series of challenges starting in February 2019 through to December. Each month will be a different challenge, e.g. no social media month, going vegetarian month starting with "No Tea or Coffee" from 1st to 28th February. The money raised will go towards sending the girls on a holiday of their choice in 2020. Now many of us will be still getting over thr expense of Christmas and waiting for January payday so if you aren't able to donate in February please take another look later on the year and send whatever you can, whenever you can. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you for any donation made, it is really appreciated.
