I have a 1.25-inch kidney tumor that needs to be removed. I have been told there is a 95% chance it is malignant. I cannot have surgery until enough money is raised to care for my wife Diane during a recovery period indicated by my surgeon.
I am the sole provider of 24 hr. caregiving for Diane, who has M.S. She is nearly 100% incapacitated and chairbound. We have found an assisted living facility where she can be cared for with the hands-on physical and medical level she needs 24 hrs/day - Sunnycrest Senior Living, https://www.sunnycrestseniorliving.com/.
She will need to be there for up to eight weeks until I recover enough to resume caring physically for her. This stay will include room and board for her as well as the highest level of nursing support they provide. But this campaign also includes all the supplies and/or durable medical goods she may need at the facility and afterward as well as an unknown amount of caregiving for myself.
The estimated total funds needed is $18,000, including Go Fund Me fees. My wonderful mom has already given us $10,000, which leaves $8,000 to be raised by this campaign. If you wish to contribute directly, please email, Facebook message, or text me for our home address. This Go Fund Me appeal may remain open for a short time after our goal is reached to help cover unexpected expenses.
It is with great hope, and need, that we seek your assistance. Contributions are needed, yes, but you can also help by simply sharing this campaign via Facebook, prayer chain, Twitter, email contacts, or any way you can, using this link: https://www.gofundme.com/caregiving-diane-after-my-surgery
Please repeat share if you will so that more people see it, particularly on FB as they do not show every post to all of your friends.
As for the surgery, I am not afraid to have it. It was scheduled for August 6th but is now delayed until this Go Fund Me campaign achieves its goal. Surgery can only be postponed for a limited time. Surgery can range from simple laparoscopy to a large incision. A biopsy will be taken post procedure.
This is an urgent matter. It cannot be said any differently. We cannot meet our needed goal without your assistance. Warmest thanks from both Diane and I for considering this Go Fund Me appeal.
