Want to join Chen Moore and Johnson-Davis in the fight against hunger? Help us support the Palm Beach County Food Bank at CANstruction 2019! Together, we CAN make a difference!!
Chen Moore and Johnson-Davis are well known leaders for designing and constructing many miles of the underground pipes that make up the local water systems in Palm Beach County. The members of our team work daily to provide the public with a basic need, clean drinking water. We also recognize that food insecurity represents another equally important basic need that isn’t always met in our community. This is why we decided to COME UP from our daily underground work to support the Palm Beach County Food Bank with CANstruction®.
Considering our team’s vision, values, and CAN-do attitude, we knew we were the perfect CANdidates to take on this challenge. We brought together every woman and Manwich we could find to support our team. The Gardens Mall is an ideal CANvas for this project and we hope that our CANtribution will be signifiCANt to the community. Although we have never bean a part of this contest before, we are proud to have built a CANstructure better than your average (Sloppy) Joe.
Though trying to solve a problem like widespread hunger can feel like struggling to keep your head above water, this year Chen Moore and Johnson-Davis are “COMING UP FOR CANS” to help secure a brighter future for our community.
CANstruction,Inc. is a U.S. 501(c)3 nonprofit charity known worldwide for its signature, trademarked CanSculptures® built entirely out of unopened cans of food. This year's event will be held in Palm Beach Gardens, FL at The Gardens Mall from May 6-19.
Our team will be building our sculpture at the mall on May 5. At the end of the two-week exhibition, each one of the sculptures is “decanstructed” and all of the food is donated to the Palm Beach County Food Bank. In 2017, over 32,000 pounds of food was collected from these sculptures and distributed to hungry individuals and families in our community.
Every dollar donated will be used to buy the cans of food for our CanSculpture®, and it will all be donated to the Palm Beach County Food Bank.
