Who are we?
Based in California, Creations for a Cause is an online store that donates 15% of profits from each item purchased to fund causes we believe in. In doing so, we connect people to a purpose and forward our mission to think globally and act locally.
We share stories that are both vital to the global community and aligned with your philanthropic values. We source earth-forward materials from businesses and partners we trust, supporting our communities and creating meaningful relationships with those around us. We exist to create experiences where our hearts and purpose come together.
Who will benefit?
- Children in foster care
- Homeless in Orange County
- Syrian Refugees in Lebanon
- USA Soldiers and Veterans
What the funds will be used for?
(1) To buy gifts for children and teens in foster care.
Budget Needed: $1,500
($25 / per gift per person; for a total of 60 children and teens)
(2) To put together care packages (including a sanitary kit - shampoo, conditioner, soap bar, toothpaste, toothbrush, razor, and deodorant stick; a blanket; and $25 worth of food gift cards) for people who are homeless.
Budget Needed: $1,500
($50 / per care package per person; for a total of 30 people)
We are currently in the process of finding an organization to work with to distribute these care packages. If we do not find an organization, we will be going out into the streets ourselves to distribute the packages.
(3) To distribute cash assistance to refugee families in Lebanon.
Budget Needed: $2,000
($100 / per refugee family; for a total of 20 families)
We will provide the cash assistance to these refugee families by sending the money to social workers in Lebanon who work in the refugee camps.
(4) To write 100 letters of encouragement and thanks to overseas U.S. soldiers, new recruits, and wounded veterans.
Budget Needed: $100
Money will be used for postage stamps and supplies to write letters to soldiers. The C4C Team will be gathering together to write these letters and will send them to Operation Gratitude , Homefront Hugs, and The Art of Encouragement.
Creations for a Cause was founded with the intent to give back to our local and global communities. Even if the holiday season is coming to a close, we hope to continue the spirit of giving into the new year and complete all of our list of ways to give back.
We would be so grateful for your help and hope to reach our $5,000 goal by February 15, 2017.
