Across country move

Greetings!I am a single mom looking for help.My 2 month old son and I moved to Sonoma County to be close to family and friends after living down in San Francisco where I left an unhealthy relationship to give my son and I a better life.In doing so I came across a house to rent which was being offered by a non-profit that was claiming to help single moms in need.It was understood that my newborn son and I would be sharing this home with another mom essentially in the same situation along with her young son.My new housemate and I were both so happy to be able to finally catch a break and looked forward to getting on our feet again.In February we all moved into the house.Almost immediately there were problems.The non-profit was turning out to be very negligent landlords.Numerous calls were placed to have repairs done.No one fixed the issues(a horribly leaky roof,broken stove,major plumbing issues where raw sewage would back up into the bathtub,etc.).My amazing housemate has a friend that is a lawyer and he has graciously been donating his time to help us.Unfortunately,we are having to move as we do not feel safe in this house;especially with children living there.I have been trying to find a new place to live for my son and I and I have had no luck in this very tight and crazy expensive rental market.I feel I have no other option but to leave California.My mom lives in Florida and I am planning on leaving to move to Florida on August 1st.I sank all of my money into moving into this horrible house and now I am desperate to raise money to fund this move and to also provide a cushion that would allow me to move into a new home once I arrive in Florida.My goal is to raise $6,000.This would cover the cost of moving the few large items I need to move to Florida,the cost of me driving my car to Florida,a cushion of funds in case problems arise during the drive there and also a cushion of funds to help my son and I get into a new rental.I understand everyone has hardships and I understand not everyone can afford to donate but if you could please share this I would greatly appreciate that kind gesture.
