WW2 Vet & Awesomest Grandpa

Donation protected

My grandfather is 92 years old this August and a veteran of World War II. His father was in the first World War and I was unable to serve because of medical issues. However, I was lucky enough to be able to spend the Summers with my grandparents. He taught me to drive a manual transmission when I was eight years old , he took me fishing & camping, taught me carpentry and how to work on cars, introduced me to hunting and gun safety because he taught the local hunting safety courses as a certified NRA trainer.

He was the fire chief in a small town and sustained significant when he fell through a floor while performing his duty. He was hospitalized for three months. He was also a pilot and owned a Cessna airplane that he used to fly Mercy missions, picking people up to go to the hospital or dropping off food to remote Farms when Blizzard's made the roads impassable out in the country.

He always has had a flagpole in his yard that he lowered and raised every day according to protocol. He also kept up and followed the most current protocol regarding the flag and installed a spotlight on it when that became acceptable. He also refused to fly an American flag that wasn't made in America and trying to find an American flag not made in China without using the internet is expensive and time-consuming. However, it's just not right flying an American flag made in China.

For over 40 years my grandfather had a massive Garden and grew the best tomatoes ever, which my grandma would can. Unfortunately at 92 he's unable to Garden anymore. We tried outdoor gardening in an elevated garden bed but it hasn't been very successful. That is what I would like to change by building an indoor garden for fresh vegetables and vine-ripened tomatoes year round.

So I guess that's plenty of background information, probably too much, but I truly wanted to give you an idea who my grandfather is. I'd like to give him the ability to Garden back. I'm obtaining the equipment to set on up an indoor garden in order to give him his lifetime hobby back and allow him to do it year round. It will also allow my grandmother to have fresh flowers around the house year round. my grandmother.

I left the corporate world when I had my grandparents move in to a house large enough to accommodate us all quite comfortably, each of us having our own floor complete with bathrooms and kitchens. I want to make sure that the rest of their lives are comfortable and I'm able to spend more quality time with them while assisting them in navigating the bureaucracy of Home Health Services and the VA, which he has never used before

So if you want to celebrate your own grandparents or veterans, please donate whatever you can. Even 5 bucks is enough to buy a valve or a piece of PVC piping.

Thanks for reading if you made it this far :-) and since I HAD to set a goal I set a high dollar amount, that's very unlikely to achieve, because that would enough to build THE MEGA DREAM SUPER AWESOME Setup for an entire grow room in addition to the tent.
