One Less Orphan - with your help!

$900 of $25,000 goal

In May 2016, God brought our family of 8 to Bridges of Faith, a ministry that hosts 10 Ukrainian orphans for a month, three times a year. As a family, God broke our hearts for orphans. We learned that:

Ten percent of Ukrainian orphans who age out of the system will commit suicide within the first year of aging out.  Twenty percent will end up in prison. Sixty percent of girls who age out of the system will be forced into violent sex trafficking. This ... it shook me to my core and I will never be the same.

God blessed us with six biological children, so we did not think adoption would be a part of our story. However, once we met these precious children face to face ... the global issue of orphans became a face, a name, a smile - a little girl named V------ (we are not permitted to share her specific information publicly until she is home). Last year we traveled to Ukraine to adopt her, but there were unforeseen issues that brought her adoption to a temporary halt. This was one of the hardest points in our journey, we were devastated.

God had an amazing plan. He allowed us to adopt two amazing little boys. They have been such an incredible blessing to our family. While we are so grateful for our boys - our hearts were still broken for V-----. We recently learned that she was listed with a program to be home hosted for the summer and was now fully available for adoption! We took a few days to pray and are confident that it is time to pursue our sweet girl once again.

The fees for our adoption of our sons were over $40,000 - and yet, God was faithful and provided through generous donations. So, once again, we find ourselves able to provide for our children on the day to day - yet unable to fund the massive upfront amount it will take to get our sweet girl home. So we ask you to consider partnering with us to bring this precious, precious little girl home. There have already been at least three deaths of orphans in her region in the past two years - of whom we are aware. This is urgent - and we need you! We are desperate for your help.

The fees to adopt V------ will be about $25,000 ... though this is simply an estimate. As we learned with our first adoption, the costs tend to go beyond the estimate.  Included in the $25,000 is a $3,000 fee to home host V------ for the summer through a program called Host Ukraine. This will enable us to get her out of the orphanage for the summer and give our family more time to bond before she is brought home for good. We hope to have V------ home before winter 2018.

We ask not only for financial donations, but for your prayers. God is so faithful and we trust He will provide the finances and the faith to get us through this journey. Thank you so much for your time and consideration. Your donation will help us provide hope, a home, and a future to one very precious girl. We cannot all adopt, but God calls us all to care for orphans - however it is in our power to do so. Every donation is a great blessing and makes all the difference. Please consider donating, sharing our page, and praying for our journey. God bless.
