Least of These Carolinas - Bags of Hope
A bag of hope is a duffel bag for a child in foster care. When the child comes in care we are given their first name and a list of items they need or want. Each bag is specifically designed for that particular child and is packed with care including a special note from one of our bag coordinators and an age appropriate Bible. Our goal is to get these bags ready within a week of a child coming into care. These bags are just a start in restoring hope and giving back a piece of what the child has lost.

I am Lakin Stanfield. I represent Usborne Books & More (UBAM) and am very passionate about helping the foster children in Rutherford County, NC!

Here is how it works:
Goal: raise $10,000 to buy books/stuffed animals through Usborne Books & More.
UBAM then matches 50% of funds raised. (Example: $10,000 raised = $15,000 in books for the children).
Bonus: I am so passionate about this cause that I would like to donate 100% of my commission (17% of funds raised) to purchasing additional items for the Bags of Hope. (Example: $10,000 funds raised = $1,700 in cash used to purchase items).
The funds raised will go to purchasing new book/plush sets to fill the bags. The donated commission funds will go to purchasing other items such as bibles, personal hygiene items, school supplies etc.

I have added an extra incentive to potential donators!
**For every $500 donated, my husband and I will alternate getting pied in the face on live video.
