BD Makerspace Campaign Fund
Our aim is to set up a Makerspace Community Workshop for the Bromsgrove / Droitwich area. The Maker Movement is growing, and promotes learning, tech skills, traditional crafts, community engagement and arts projects - and we believe our local residents of all ages, abilities and skill levels would benefit greatly from a Makerspace.
Our ultimate aim is to have a permanent, well-equipped workshop space where individuals, charities and organisations can meet, use tools, have space to create and work together on awesome projects. The BDMakerspace campaign is raising some cash to help us print leaflets, put on some regular FREE events, hire rooms, support community-based partners, advertise, register as a CIC... all the usual day-to-day costs of promoting a good cause!
We don't need a lot of cash right now (though we won't turn it down!), but every little helps us to get in touch with the people who will benefit the most, and get word out about the Makerspace.

Thank you very much for supporting the campaign!
We just about break even, but literally every £1 helps!
We know it's going to be a long journey to our ultimate goal of an accessible space with tools and technology for everyone to use, but we have some great supporters involved and are just about to make the next big step of forming an official CIC (Community Interest Company).
You can make a huge difference by helping us to cover admin charges, materials and room hire costs whilst we establish the CIC and look towards a membership scheme to fund our bigger plans.
Thank you for your continued support, and don't forget to pop into one of our upcoming events and say hello!
Repair Café: 25th November 10am-4pm at The Old Library in Droitwich (on Ombersley St E, near the Post Office).
We will have a donations bucket at the event and proceeds will be split with our hosts, Droitwich CVS (a great community cause!) - donations will help fund room hire & materials for future FREE events.
You can help us promote the event with this poster: http://bit.ly/bdrcposter
Of course, we're still trying to raise any additional funds, and every little £1 helps!
Thank you for your support...
Anyone can bring along anything they can carry, and our repair team volunteers will try their best to help them to fix it (and maybe teach them a few new skills at the same time). From clothes to toasters, our team have loads of experience and the tools... we just need to make sure we're insured!
Our hosts require Public Liability insurance and this will cost us at least £100 - but it does mean we'll be covered for this and other FREE events.
Please help by adding just a few £££s to our GoFundMe campaign. Any surplus will help to pay for tape, glue, solder, fuses and anything else we can use to fix Droitwich's broken stuff!
Thank you so much,
