Basketball court renovations

Donation protected
I, Brandon Selby, am a resident of Aberdeen as well as a local high school teacher and the proud coach of the men’s varsity basketball team at Aberdeen High School. The reason I have created this page is to give back to the local community. I want to assist the youth with something they can take pride in and want to renovate the Victory Street Park basketball court. Basketball has ALWAYS been a way to bring people together of different ages, race, gender and nationalities. Basketball has helped form me into the person I am today and for that, I am forever grateful. I want to provide an opportunity for our local youth to experience the same feeling of gratitude.

Recently, there was a published article in the Baltimore Sun that provides more detail about the project and my plans for renovating the Victory Street Park basketball court. My goal is to raise $5,000 to provide: two new basketball goals (pole, rims and nets), the painting of the court, various materials needed to assist the project and to build benches outside the court for a place to sit nearby and enjoy. I KNOW this will not be an easy task but I am prepared and determined to make my vision a reality with the help of the community. For your convenience, I have attached a link to the article in the Baltimore Sun for you to read and gain a better sense of who I am and my passion/purpose in life.
