Christmas is coming very soon, which means that Basket Brigade Polska 2017 (7th edition !!!) is approaching too.
This year we will deliver hampers to families in need on Sunday 17th December, so we just have 2 weeks left to raise neccessary funds.
Please donate whatever you can, every single penny counts and will make a difference as we proved many times alreay.

Here is my message before Berlin Marathon in September, when we started raising funds:
big challenge - on Sunday 24th September 2017 I'll be running Berlin Marathon. This will be my 2nd marathon, the 1st one was completed last year when my baby boy was 7 months old. That was a huge challenge for me (started training 3 months after giving birth and doing so alsongside breastfeeding and sleepless nights...) and during the final kilometers I remember saying to myself that I would never do this again...and this year I'm actually doing it AGAIN.
Why Berlin?
After finishing London Marathon I set a goal to do all World Marathon Majors, which includes London, Berlin, New York, Boston, Chicago and Tokyo. So after Berlin, I'll need to focus on other continents. It's not easy to get to these marathons, but I was lucky enough to get my place in a draw in the first round, both for London and for Berlin. I'm a lucky girl, right?
So after months of training alongside full time job, family life and business, running regardless of the weather, through the heat, through the wind, through the rain, before
and after work, running with or without buggy, waking up at 5:00 am while on holidays, struggling in a completely different climate zone...it's time to go to the start line and smash it...
Why am I doing this?
For the last few years, together with my family, we've been involved in initiative called Basket Brigade, where we provide food hampers for families in need during Christmas. It was initially started by Anthony Robbins in USA. We started Basket Brigade in Poland (https://www.facebook.com/basketbrigadepolska/) in 2011, making first 10 small hampers and grew bigger and bigger year after year. In 2015 Basket Brigade Polska was present in 4 cities in Poland and in total we fed over 350 families. Watch out the video here: https://www.youtube.co/watch?v=_B-BLD6J8y4
Last year, in 2016 we’ve done over 500 hampers. In Lodz, where it all began 300 families were gifted with Christmas food hampers from a stranger.

Each year we manage to inspire more family members, friends and friends of friends who want to be a part of Basket Brigade and help us in many ways to change people's lives for the better. Watching the transformation of those around us when they understand that the "SECRET TO LIVING IS GIVING", is unbelievable.
Mission of Basket Brigade Polska is to combine healthy lifestyle with helping others. To raise funds, over the year we organise and take part in various sport events from running, cycling, swimming, CrossFit challenges, tough mudders, runmaggedons, to football games to name just a few. Many of them we've done for the first time in our lives but going outside the comfort zone is where the magic happens, right?

Last year with a help of AMAZING PEOPLE we raised over £5 000 and prepared 300 hampers in Lodz.
This year the bar is even higher as our goal is to create 400 hampers in Lodz.
So together with my sister Gosia, hubby Lukasz and bro-in-law Matt we will push ourselves much more outside our comfort zones physically and mentally and take on even more races, more challenges and will organise more events to raise necessary funds by December. Watch out this space, we will keep you posted what we are up to.
It starts NOW in September with my Berlin Marathon. I want to ask you to support me with my run by donating whatever you can to Basket Brigade Polska 2017.
