Back-2-School Cookout!

We're a group of community serving college kids who are realizing there are too many adolescents involved in negative acts because of a lack of organized activities and places to house them. The support of the donations will help us host over 100 local children in one setting with positive activities and opportunities. We plan on having approximately 100+ volunteers and spectators in attendance, and try to receive coverage by the local newpapers and television stations. We're anxiously looking forward to great success at this event, which will be held in August on the 13th of 2016.
We’re a group of college kids whom are currently working to organize a Back-2-School Event for a variety group of kids in Baltimore, City. Through volunteer efforts, we have gotten to know a number of young kids who are in need of school supplies and a good time with a great experience. Upon finding out that we’re different leveled college kids at different HBCU’s around the world, a number of kids expressed their interest in experiencing an event with different college students from different universities. We have been working with a group of them ourselves for several months now and have been bless to watch them grow, not only in their everyday skills but also in their closeness to one another and their desire to help others as they have been helped by us and others.
Below are a list of the needs and their cost:
- $350 (cost to rent the DJ)
- $250 (cost to rent the park)
- $75 (cost to rent the coolers to keep food and drinks cold)
- $1,000 (school supplies)
- $1,760 (t-shirts with a special and encouraging message for the kids to always remember)
- $2,000 (fun and games (ex. inflatables, carnival games, etc))
- $2,000 (food and drinks to supply at the cook out)
