Hello Everyone,
It is our family’s great joy to introduce to you baby Ka’Zian. Like most newborns, baby Ka’Zian has a dynamic personality and an infectious smile. To tell you the truth, there has been no happier moment in our lives than the day this precious child came into the world. And we can think of no greater gift to show our appreciation than to give her a happy and healthy childhood. However, due to complications during her birth, baby Ka’Zian came out different. Her grandmother was the first to notice that there was something wrong with the baby’s arm. After consulting with the doctors, we brought her home and began physical therapy as soon as she was ready to travel. Over time, the ineffectiveness of baby Ka’ Zian’s physical therapy sessions revealed the problem was more serious than anyone realized. At four months old, baby Ka’Zian was diagnosed with a severe case of Erb’s Palsy, a nerve disorder wherein the nerves in her upper arm were damaged during delivery. While we do have medical coverage, it does not cover all of her medical fees nor the added expense of transportation for her to see necessary specialists (pediatric neurologists) for assessment and additional treatment options.
If left untreated, baby Ka’Zian’s condition will worsen, which for her means possible total paralysis of her right arm. As her family, we only want her to have the best chance of having a happy and healthy upbringing. For this reason, we are reaching out to the community for help. Baby Ka’Zian is cared for her young mother, who cares for her child while actively seeking employment opportunities, and her disabled grandmother, who operates off of a fixed income. We cannot afford the expense of the required medical treatments and the associated cost of transportation, so we are launching this campaign to give baby Ka’Zian her best chance. Our gratitude is both with those who are willing to help, as well as with those who have the spirit to do so but are unable to. We welcome your support, your well wishes and your prayers on baby Ka’Zian’s behalf. If you are able to, please spread the word about this little beam of sunshine.
