Journey to Hannah

Lisa and I have been married for almost 18 years. For the majority of that time we've been through the challenges of infertility but always knew that some day our home would be blessed with a child. Our hearts led us to the decision to adopt from China and in November 2006 our dossier was sent out and for Christmas that year we received notification by their government that our log in date was December 23, 2006. At that time, the average wait was 9 months to a year but that wasn't going to be the case for us, as well as many others also waiting. For many reasons, China slowed their rate of assignments. We've been on our journey for nearly 8 years and we are finally almost there! It has been a rollercoaster of emotions in that time; we had the unexpected passing of our agent followed by the eventual closing of the agency. With the long wait and all of the new Hague requirements, our expenses have gone up significantly for our adoption. We pray that you open your hearts to helping us to bring Hannah into our home and into your lives as well....
