Max is my son. He has 4 years old (26/03/2013). He lives in Luxembourg and he has an older brother, Alex, with 8 years old.
The 28th of April 2017 he has been diagnosed with a tumor in is brain. Transfered by helicopter in the same day to the Nancy hospital, the tumor has been removed successfully. Now, he is under treatment. 6 months still missing until the end of the treatment. Normally.
So, since than, Max's life changed a lot. One week at home. One week in the hospital. Many meds. Many exams.
It was his first year of school. Sometimes he is able to go to school. But he is mainly too weak to go or it is too dangerous for him because of other kids that are seek. Because Max defenses are weak.
Everything is going well for now. Some difficulties time to time. But he is very strong and positive.
Even if Max life is very hard, his brother is also a victim of all of this. This is why I've decided to take a parental leave during this summer. Why? In order that Max but also Alex have, this year, good and real holidays (this last summer, Max did not gone for holidays...).
In the past, I've already taken a parental leave (when Max was born) and it is for sure, one of the best experience I've had. I've wrote a book about it. I can share it with you if interested.
We do not have economical issues but we have to be careful. Going to parental leave means that revenues will decrease. I can affoard that. However, one thing I cannot buy is a van/motorhome to travel during our holidays. But why should I want a van/motorhome? Just because both Max and Alex will be delighted if we were able to have one. They love "camping-cars". Many times when I am driving them by car and we see a motorhome they say things like "Regardes, un camping-car" "En plus il a un porte-vélos!".
So yes. The idea of this crowdfunding project is to raise money to buy a van/motorhome so we are able to travel freely, as soon as possible, after the end of Max treatment, and if we have the green light given my the doctors, and try to forget this horrible year we are currently living. The idea is also to keep the motorhome/van after to travel during some week ends, not very far from home to escape for a few days, the everyday we will live. Thus, because even if the treatment is good, Max will be followed regularly by the doctors during at leats 5 years.

I've put the goal of 50000 euros. The price can be lower or higher. But we will be very happy just to be able to buy something comfortable, with a TV for the kids and also security belts. Of course, in case we are successful with this campaign, I will contact different brands and garages to obtain the best discount possible - if they are able to apply discounts until 30% for societies (Etoile garage, Losch, etc.), I hope they are also able to apply discounts for a good cause.
