Anglicare - UQ Twilight Run
Every week in Queensland, one women is killed by a current or former partner.
Everyday, 8 women are hospitalised after being assaulted by their partner or spouse.
A woman in Australia is more likely to be killed in her own home by her male partner, than anywhere else, or by anyone else. (The ABS Personal Safety Survey 2006)
Each year 72,000 women reach out to homelessness services to get away from abusive partners or former partners.
Domestic violence doesn’t discriminate with age or gender. It can effect men, women and children.
Our team is running the UQ Twilight Marathon to raise funds for Anglicare Southern Queensland work with the homeless and survivors of domestic violence. Feeling like running, we would love you to join our team and help us fundraise.
For those who can't run, we welcome donations from individuals, groups or organisations.
All donations go directly to supporting Anglicare’s services supporting survivors of domestic violence.
