A friend of mine recently mentioned if I had heard of go fund me. I didn’t, so he explained it and here I am...
I’m a single father who is in the process of litigation. I cannot afford the attorney fee’s, that is the reason for this post. The goal is to raise $15,000 by August 15th. The initial date was postponed, which I feel was a blessing in disguise... it has allowed me more time to secure funinding in effort to hire an attorney.
My sons mother moved several years ago when he was just a toddler. The next several months were agonizing to say the least. Each night I had to answer the question of “where is mommy”. Believe me when I tell you, it wasn’t easy. No one wins in situations like these... there are only losers... our child being the one to lose the most.
The last several years have been extremely difficult having to deal with a timeshare of extreme distance. Although my son has been very resiliant given the currrent environment, like any child, he needs consistency in his life. Traveling back and forth is no longer an option. A day without my son, is a day lost.
My son is a beautiful boy who constantly lets me know he loves me throughout the day. He is very sensitive to others and is never shy to let them know or help when he can. The positive feedback from his teachers and other parents only adds to the fact that he is well-loved and received by all.
I prefer to keep this process anonymous to protect those involved. I hope those of you reading this respect and understand this choice.
If there is an outside chance to secure the funds necessary, I can hire an attorney for representation. This would allow for better positioning during the litigation process.
