Immigrant-American Dream Deferred

Donation protected
Dear Community Members,

We are reaching out for the support of $5,000 to help small business owners Gerson Velasquez and Lyz Otero keep their dream alive!  They are currently facing eviction from their establishment within 24 hours.  The couple has already sacrificed over a $100,000 and two years of blood, sweat and tears into their business Half Moon Bakery, which has yet to open due to no fault of their own.

Their attempt at the American Dream has been met with one set back after another due to crooked and criminal contracting! Placing them in position to lose the business and dream from being realized.

To make matters worse, Gerson Velasquez the primary income earner for his family of five was wrongfully reported to Immigration Crime Engagement (ICE) by the contractor who he hired.  Not only did he not fulfill his contract, he stole $8,000 dollars’ worth of essential equipment for this establishment to operate.

Mr. Velasquez, who is a hardworking family man and tax payer was then deported.  He was here legally and already in the process of obtaining his Visa.  This injustice caused further delays while costing him thousands in legal fees.

As a friend and community partner I urge you to please support their GoFundMe by donating and sharing the link

Please know that any contributions will help immensely and aid this hardworking family in need.
