Alex, Ben and Patrick

Alex, Ben and Patrick are three of these kids who are being cared for by their Grandparents, Don and Pat. Because of a number of circumstances, all out of Don and Pat's control, very little financial support has been available for the 5 years since Alex first came into their home. (Alex and Ben both have cognitive and behavioral deficits, which has added a lot of financial and emotional stress!) Don and Pat, expecting to enjoy retirement, have seen expenses rise above their fixed income for a year now. So they are about to lose their home. The goal set here represents the amount needed by Nov 30 to save their home. That loss may happen anyway, so really the goal is to get the three boys into an adequate home with some relief from the debt. Don and Pat will continue to advocate for the kids, and are hopeful that their efforts to arrange public and private resources to provide a sustainable future will be fruitful. The Alex, Ben and Patrick team will make sure the funds get to the support of the boys' home, food and welfare.
